Adorable Moment Leopard Mum Snuggles Up With Playful Cub (Gallery)

This is the moment a content looking mother leopard in the wild gave her cub a big heartwarming hug.

This was all captured in Kenya by Leighton Lum, a 32 year old wildlife photographer who noticed the cub annoying its mum after being awoken by a sudden downpour.

In this beautiful scene of affection between the wild cats, you can see a huge smile on the mother’s face of content as the pair snuggled up to each other.

Apparently when the cub woke up, it “got really playful and curious” and began to climb the surrounding trees.

“Eventually he wondered near our vehicle and the mother followed. They settled in not more than a 50ft away from the vehicle and started to play. It was incredible.”

 

“I really enjoyed watching this tender moment between mother and cub. It’s a behaviour not often seen and it’s rare to see them like this out in the open and at close range.”

Leighton mentioned that animal sighting have been much better recently due to the pandemic causing less people and vehicles to visit the area.
